Mayakoba Golf Classic

After a week off, we return for our final PGA event of 2020, the Mayakoba Golf Classic. Golfers will head to Playa del Carmen and the El Camaleon Golf Club, a resort course that plays relatively shot as far as Tour standards go. We should have a birdie fest on our hands, and I expect the winner to come in at -20 or better. We have a bit of a mixed group of golfers this week, with some upper tier players joining a traditionally weaker field. Justin Thomas certainly stands out among the group in a tier of his own, and I will be prioritizing him in my lineups this week. With that in mind, we will need some value in order to afford his higher price tag. I am most interested in golfers that do well on approach, can make some putts, and thus can go low from a scoring perspective. Let’s dive into some of my favorite values plays for the week.
