PGA DFS Value Breakdown: RBC Heritage
Selecting the absolute best value out there is crucial to cruising to the top of the leaderboards. TJ “tjl5124” Laessig, a high stakes DFS grinder, will dive into the player pool, evaluating roster construction and picking out his favorite value options for the week’s tournament.
RBC Heritage
Hideki Matsuyama is one of my OG DFS darlings and it was awesome to see him put on the green jacket Sunday after winning The Masters. A fantastic win that carries significance beyond just the game of golf, so I wanted to start off by saying congrats to Deki on the historic victory. This week, we shift our focus to the RBC Heritage, where we have a stronger than usual feel teeing it up at Harbour Town Golf Links. As is the case with most Pete Dye tracks, Harbour Town is largely a second-shot golf course where placement and approach will be key. I’ll be looking to target ball strikers with an emphasis on accuracy, approach, and scrambling. Prior success at RBC or other Pete Dye courses will be a bonus as well. From a roster construction standpoint, Dustin Johnson is very expensive, while there is a lot of value in the 9k and 10k ranges. Because of this, I expect more balanced builds to be a popular roster construction and one way to get contrarian could be to take a stars and scrubs approach. When looking for value, let’s dive into my favorite options at $7500 and below on DraftKings.
