PGA DFS Value Breakdown: Tour Championship
Selecting the absolute best value out there is crucial to cruising to the top of the leaderboards. TJ “tjl5124” Laessig, a high stakes DFS grinder, will dive into the player pool, evaluating roster construction and picking out his favorite value options for the week’s tournament.
Tour Championship
After an electric finish to the BMW Championship last week, we head to the final round of the PGA Tour season. We have the top 30 golfers battling it out to determine the eventual champion of the FedEx Cup. This is the second year in a row we will see the new championship format, in which the golfers that finished higher in the season-long standings will get a “head start” over the remainder of the field. Dustin Justin will start at -10, Rahm at -8, and the players at the bottom of the pack will start at E. With this setup, it is highly likely that one of the top end golfers will win the tournament, and we want to make sure we get at least one or two of those guys into our lineups. That said, when it comes to the value plays, I am not worrying too much about their starting position. At the end of the day, starting at -3 vs. starting at E is not going to make a huge difference over the course of four rounds. I will be focusing on the golfers that I think are the best values, regardless of their starting number. It is also worth noting that because of the 30-man field, we are not likely to get many players at super low ownership. Pick the plays you like, find the right combination of top golfers and values, and try your best to make sure you have a unique lineup. Let’s dive into the plays.
