PGA DFS Value Breakdown: Valero Texas Open

Selecting the absolute best value out there is crucial to cruising to the top of the leaderboards. TJ “tjl5124” Laessig, a high stakes DFS grinder, will dive into the player pool, evaluating roster construction and picking out his favorite value options for the week’s tournament.

Valero Texas Open

After a week of match play, we will be in Texas for one last event before The Masters next week. TPC San Antonio tends to play on the more difficult side and an all-around golf game will be required to compete this week. Weather has also historically played a major part in this tournament, so we will want to make sure we are monitoring the forecast throughout the week. The course is long, and while I plan to focus on ball strikers, I’ll be weighting around the green play as well. We have a decent field, even after the Dustin Johnson withdrawal, and I expect balanced builds to be a popular roster construction this week. There is a lot to like in the 9k and 8k range, while the value options are a bit dicey. That said – have no fear, there are still plenty of options we can look to below 7500 on DraftKings. Let’s check out my favorite plays.
