Course Preview
We have had some terrific golf tournaments over the last month and if all goes as planned, we should see another one this week at the Honda Classic. We have 13 of the top 25 players in the world in the field, so it will be a star-studded event. PGA National is a Par-70 that measures around 7,150 yards. This is a course that requires precision off the tee, as there are an incredible amount of water hazards on this course. This course also features the famous “Bear Trap” that is one of the toughest three-hole stretches in all of golf.
Cut Rule: Top 70 and ties after the second round.
Recent Winners of this Event: Padraig Harrington (2015), Russell Henley (2014), Michael Thompson (2013), Rory McIlroy (2012), Rory Sabbatini (2011)
Weather: It’s going to be a windy week of golf. It looks like there will be winds of around 18 MPH on Thursday, 12 MPH on Friday, and 8-9 MPH on the weekend. This could be a week to target either the morning of afternoon wave of golfers, so make sure to check out Kevin Roth’s weather report in the forums before finalizing your lineups.
Tee Times & Pairings: The link will be posted as soon as they are announced.
