AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am
What’s up, everyone? With the NFL season in the rear view mirror, a lot more eyes will turn to the golf world now. We have very large prize pools, especially on DraftKings, this week. There are also some glaring pricing abnormalities on DK, so we will have some interesting decisions to make on high-owned players in GPP formats. As for the event, we have our second of the two annual Pro-Am events here at Pebble Beach. I don’t really enjoy this one, as the celebrity nature of the “amateur” part makes the rounds take longer, and the celebrities steal a lot of the already valuable TV time. It’s hard enough to see a good chunk of golf shots on the broadcasts! However, I will set my feelings aside and try to relay some good picks!
Like the CareerBuilder three weeks ago, we have a three course rotation in play for the Pro-Am. Pebble Beach will be the host course, while each golfer will also play a round on Spyglass Hill and Monterey Peninsula Country Club over the first three days. The cut will come after the third round, with the top 60 professionals making it to Sunday’s final round. That differs slightly from the cut rule at most events, because the top professional and amateur teams also make it to Sunday. Pebble Beach will host the final round for those making the cut.
