Mayakoba Golf Classic

Greetings, golf fans! We have just two events left before the Winter break for PGA DFS, so this is one of our last chances to win some cheddar before the holidays. The Tour travels to Mexico this week for the Mayakoba Golf Classic, which has been known in previous years as the OHL Classic at Mayakoba. Even though the name has changes, the event will be held at the same “El Cameleon” golf course where it has been held since the inaugural edition over a decade ago.

This course is a resort-style par 71 layout which generally plays fairly easy, as the course does not even top 7,000 yards in length. The overall scoring average was about seven tenths of a stroke under par a year ago, and that was the most difficult the place had played over the last five editions. In other words, expect plenty of scoring chances, especially if the weather cooperates. El Cameleon generally caters to accuracy over distance, so I will favor good ball strikers and guys who can make birdies in bunches. With that, let’s get to some GPP picks!

Rickie Fowler ($11,500 DK / $12,500 FD / $18,200 FDRAFT)
