Greetings, Grinders! We have the week after The Masters letdown this week, but this is still a fun little tournament in the cozy confines of Harbour Town Golf Links in beautiful Hilton Head, South Carolina. This is a relatively short par 71 layout that barely measures 7,100 yards from the tips. It’s extremely short by today’s PGA Tour standards.
Given the short layout this week, the types of golfers we need to target are drastically different from the prototypical players that we have been targeting over the last month or two. Jim Furyk and Luke Donald are the all time money leaders here, which tells you all you need to know about the importance of distance on this course. It’s as irrelevant here as any stop on the PGA Tour calendar. Accuracy, approach play, and scrambling are of primary importance on this golf course, especially given the small nature of the greens. With that said, let’s take a look at some GPP targets!
