I am attempting to get this whole write-up posted on Monday night, as I know a lot more eyes will be on the golfing materials this week. If you are a weekly reader, thanks for reading and welcome back! If you are a new reader, I encourage you to give golf a try. It’s a fun four day sweat every week! However you happened to get here, I encourage you to read onward.
The Florida swing begins this week, so we will see some courses that play a lot different from what we have seen over the past month. The PGA National course hosts this event in Palm Beach Gardens, and weather generally plays a role here. This course sometimes plays as the most difficult par 70 track on Tour, especially when the wind blows. As of now, we could see blustery conditions every day, and rain is not out of the question (as usual in Florida). While I generally don’t put a ton of emphasis on short game play and bogey avoidance, those abilities are paramount in this event. Distance off the tee isn’t necessarily a prerequisite to contend, though it certainly doesn’t hurt. I will be focusing on approach and short game play for the most part. Let’s get to some picks!
