The Masters

Finally! We have the first major of the season on our hands this week at the iconic Augusta National Golf Club. In order to succeed at The Masters, golfers need to have distance, accuracy, ball striking, and a great short game. In other words, this place is going to test every aspect of a golfer’s game.

However, it is note-worthy that the par fives are clearly the most scoreable holes on this golf course. This is a par 72, so there are four of them. All of them measure at less than 600 yards, so they are almost always reachable in two for the bigger hitters provided their drives are in the fairway. Outside of the year where Zach Johnson won in wet conditions by sticking wedges on the par fives, you will generally see bigger hitters rise toward the top. Especially in tiebreaker scenarios, I will give bigger hitters the edge.
