This week presented some fun challenges! We had this top-heavy setup we’re not unfamiliar with, where there’s a handful of fairly elite guys and a bunch of riff-raff to pick from … I actually am getting quite fond of the riff-raff at this point! Let’s see what everyone did with this setup!

Pat Perez 31% – Wow, I just mentioned the top-heavy nature of the slate, but Pat Perez wasn’t who I was thinking of when I mentioned that! Whenever we have a spread of people to pick from up top, it lends itself to the middle guys getting hit hard to fill out the other spots. Perez is a great guy to root for, has a price to fit any lineup construction, and fits the model of being a birdie-maker without relying on distance! I love the pick!

Jason Dufner 29% – Dufner is a guy who has appeared in this article consistently for several weeks, maybe months … and consistently is exactly how he’s performed in that span! A cash game staple, Dufner not missed a cut in ages, and DFS fans have noticed! There’s really no reason to jump off – he had a little bit more cost associated with him this week, but fits in just fine, especially for people who have boosted their bankroll week after week riding his strong play!

Jordan Spieth 16% – Spieth is such an interesting situation as he trends in all directions… he fits the course well, and has as much winning capability as anyone in the world, but he’s coming off two missed cuts and not his strongest stretch of play leading into that. He’s still demanding top salary as well! There’s a lot of power in the name, as well as the fact that he’s coming off a 1st and a 2nd place here the last two years. All in all, 16% makes sense, but I always expect a little more and as always I think anyone who’s interested in him will be very pleased with a 16% share!

Ryan Palmer 21% – Another hometown favorite and he’s actually a member here, Palmer has had a pulse lately and is known for doing well on this course. Combine that with upside and birdie-making ability, along with a mid-$7k’s price and it makes sense to see him break into the 20% club!

Sergio Garcia 20% – Never far from a fan-favorite and still riding the Masters wave, Garcia hasn’t done anything to really dissuade people from picking him since the triumph at Augusta. We don’t know if there will be another breakthrough performance any time soon, or if he’s resting on his laurels. He’s never done poorly here in 2 tries, but they were a long time ago!

I like the variety in choices this week! It should be fun to root these guys in and see if a non-bomber can take home the crown! Good luck this week!!
