Oh man! It’s finally here! The Masters! I think everyone, in the back of their head this week, was like “let me get just SOMETHING through to the weekend because this is going to be SO much fun to watch!!”
So who did everyone decide was going to be that guy? Let’s take a closer look!

Jason Day (26% GPP, 31% Cash) – Jason Day! The cornerstone of any proper DFS handicap this week. Even if you aren’t playing him, you had to be aware of his presence. Not often do we get a guy who is #1 vegas favorite and not #1 salary … and not #2 either … or #3 … and, well, DFS didn’t go TOO crazy! I know last year we would see a lot more guys approaching 40%. I thought he might skew a little bit higher in cash because he was so universally the #1 play, but I stayed off him in order to save a few bucks and plump up the midrange, and it looks like many others did as well. We’ll see how it pans out!
Henrik Stenson (15% GPP 21% Cash) – This one was curious to me because we have a good golfer great form here, but some meh course history and a reputation for “not finishing” and well nobody wants to be that guy with everyone in the top 10 and Stenson in second at the end of the week right!? At least not in the Milly! So I think that’s what we see here. A guy perceived as guaranteed to make the cut but also guaranteed to not win!
Jordan Spieth (9% GPP 6% Cash) – Oh, how the mighty have fallen! There was a time where this would be so laughable! But if you have Spieth you’re thinking you’ll be laughing all the way to the bank, of course give me the golden child at low ownership at his best tournament right!? It’s going to be fascinating to see how this unfolds!
Rory McIlRoy (9% GPP 6% cash) – Ditto everything about Spieth, pretty much, except for the course history. Just hard for most to pay up with cheaper golfers playing better currently. In hindsight I kind of wish the salaries came out later, to maybe get a little more even between Day and these two. But no big deal!
Bryson DeChambeau (9% GPP, 6% cash) – The man, the myth! His Masters debut, and his last tournament as an amateur! Word is he wants to win!? Oh wait I think at least the MAJORITY of the field does, too :) … one of the favored storylines coming in, and kind of a “what do I do with this?” Price-tag IMO, and this is what we get! Last time (only time recently) he played he was more expensive, 0.8% owned, and shot par 3 days in a row before blasting up the leaderboard on Sunday. All of his owners would surely take a similar performance even at 10x his previous ownership!
Good luck everyone this week! As always hit me up in the comments if you have any feedback!
