Ahh, it’s good to be back after a week “off” – let’s face it, Euro Tour just keeps the seat warm for us! We’ve got some YUGE tournaments coming up on the schedule as we hit the stride of the season, and the Wells Fargo is littered with some big names and some not-so-big names all trying to get warmed up for the heat of the Summer! Let’s see what we’ve got!

Dustin Johnson (29% GPP, 31% Cash) – Undisputedly the World’s Hottest Golfer right now, except for that little snafu at The Masters, this was a semi-interesting handicap this week. He got the World’s Highest Salary award to go with it – $13k on DraftKings, a very lofty target these days! Some minor injury concern, some time off, and that humongous price tag is the only thing that could edge him down to a 30% ownership in GPP – which is still quite strong. In cash games it’s even more difficult to squeeze that, especially with some really popular guys more than $2k cheaper, but it seems like this week, you either were a “believer” or not in DJ, and he was a must-have in all formats, or an easy pass given the uncertainty – why spend several thousand extra on a guy who couldn’t even tee off last time we heard from him? Only time will tell!

Kevin Kisner (35% GPP, 47% Cash) – This week’s highest owned GPP golfer is Kevin Kisner. He’s been playing some GREAT golf consistently lately, and had a comfortable price tag that fit him in to most lineups along with 1 or 2 other names that people feel really comfortable with in the upper-middle-class salary range! Kisner’s been streaky over the past couple of years, garnering a LOT of support and then disappearing for awhile. But he’s a guy that people really like when he gets going! He’s accurate off the tee and putts really really well, and when he’s going good he birdies a lot, so DFS fans like him even more! We’ll see if he can keep it up here!

Adam Scott (25% GPP, 54% Cash) – Adam Scott was the answer to the question of “who do I structure my cash game lineups around” for the majority of the field this week. His GPP ownership isn’t that impressive – although he’s far from “low-owned” – we’ve seen this over the past year as the tout material for PGA DFS has become more ever-present and people actually know when somebody is going to be abundantly owned, and will spread their exposure to other golfers in GPPs. Scott has had a fairly consistent tag since he ironed out his transition back from the belly putter a couple of years ago, and is somebody people are obviously very comfortable with. Personally I thought Paul Casey would garner more attention for a few hundred dollars less, but just saying those names side-by-side, Scott is clearly the one who rings of more “safety”, so I can see where everyone was coming from!

Alexander Noren (15% GPP, 45% Cash) – This tournament featured I think 6 guys in the world top 15 or 20, and a big drop-off after that … and you’ll see all of those guys with fairly strong salaries in this field and a big dearth in the middle class. The exception is Noren, who is I believe about #12 or #13 in the world, having performed consistently well at some PGA-caliber European events over the spring … he’s not as well-known to American fans, but DFS players do their homework. His price tag was several thousand below anyone else who lives near him on the World Rankings, and people took notice! He came out with a huge reward by posting the low round in the AM wave, but it was based entirely on gaining strokes putting. It will be really interesting to see if he can parlay that into a good weekend, or if it was a flukey round that can’t be reproduced!

Good luck guys!! Really excited to be back stateside and warming up for some really great tournaments the rest of the Summer! See you next week!!
