Webb Simpson (27% GPP, 46% Cash) – The star of this week’s show: Hometown Hero Webb Simpson. A dramatic course history here came to an end last season, but DFSers are not deterred. As of this writing, neither is Webb Simpson (out to an early first place). A guy who typically cannot putt well but has a familiar touch on these greens gets a big boost this week.

Kevin Kisner (22% GPP, 7% Cash) – The “hot hand” comes into this week with a superstar price tag, and the result – a mixed bag. Kisner is arguably the class of this field, coming off his showing at the PGA Championship that fizzled out on Sunday. He sets up well here, but is far from a guarantee, so you don’t see people piling on him even in GPP. In cash games, he’s just too darn expensive and things get REALLY murky below $7,000. I don’t think he makes gamers feel as secure as those punt plays do risky, so a lot of people opted to start their lineups with Webb Simpson in cash, instead.

Byeong-Hun An (23% GPP, 29% Cash) – Hun An is a guy who has been known to make waves … every once in a while. He’s got a lot of upside, and in this tournament, that becomes very attractive. A risk-reward golfer, we see his GPP ownership nearly as high as his cash game ownership. Also a tee-to-green beast who struggles on the greens, it remains to be seen if he can cover that skill up on these challenging putting surfaces as well as a similar tee-to-green beast, Webb Simpson.

Chez Reavie (22% GPP, 54% Cash) – Mr. Reavie has run hot again, and when he’s hot, he screams CONSISTENCY for CHEAP. That is reflected in this profile. He seemed like a no-brainer play to many, but not threatening enough to be a must-have in GPP, so his ownership leveled out there. He comes in as the second most chosen golfer in cash, though, because it kind of feels like a “free square” this week for him to make a cut and finish in the top 50. Golf is full of surprises, though.

Henrik Stenson (12% GPP, 9% Cash) – Speaking of consistency. Henrik was the epitome of that for much of the past couple of seasons on Tour. He had some injury problems before going on a very high-floor streak, but has since tarnished that record this year on Tour. In another time’s forgotten space, Stenson would have been light years ahead of anyone in this field. He’s still priced as the top dog, but we have a hard time believing it, and paying for it. It will be very interesting to see how he fares coming off of a couple of Major championships (with good showings, mind you!) and heading into the PGA Tour playoffs.

Good luck this week everyone!
