PGA Splits Advanced Data Picks and Analysis: Fortinet Championship
The PGA Tour opens the 2022 season by heading out west for the inaugural Fortinet Championship. Though the tournament name has changed, it will be played on the very familiar North course at the Silverado Resort and Spa. This will be the 8th consecutive year the event will be hosted at Silverado. Located in the heart of California’s Napa Valley wine country, the course features tight undulating tree-lined fairways, minimal hazards, playable rough, and a likely winning score in the mid to upper teens. There are three main splits from this course and tournament that I’d like to focus on for this week’s data analysis as we attempt to uncover some of the best DraftKings plays at each pricing tier. They include SG (Strokes Gained) on Short Courses, SG on the West Coast, and my special “Core 4” most important stats for the week.
