PGA DFS Showdown Picks and Projections – Round 2
There’s nothing better than watching golf during a major week. The PGA Championship started with a bang, as Xander Schauffele went out early and shot 62 on Thursday. While there were a lot of low scores out there, nobody was able to come within three strokes of Schauffele. This is the second week in a row that he has jumped out to big lead, so we’ll see if he can hold onto it this time. He certainly has some big names chasing him down, as Rory McIlroy, Collin Morikawa, Scottie Scheffler, and Brooks Koepka are all sitting in the top 15.
Heading into the event, it looked like it would rain all day Friday. The forecast has cleared up a bit, as very little rain is expected at this point. While weather can always change at a moment’s notice, there does seem to be an advantage for those going out early on Friday. The sustained winds and gusts are expected to be lower for the morning wave then they are for the afternoon wave. On top of that, the course could be a little softer in the morning.
