PGA DFS Showdown Picks and Projections – Round 3
Collin Morikawa… thanks for nothing my friend. Perhaps his glove didn’t fit like we saw in the first season of Full Swing. There were some absolute landmines out there in Round 2 and unfortunately, I stepped on a couple of them. While some big names ended up missing the cut, there are still about 40% of lineups with 6/6 through the cut on the main slate. If you have enjoyed the tranquil conditions over the first two days, you will not be happy when you see Saturday’s forecast.
When a course is difficult, there tends to be more movement on the leaderboard from round to round. When the conditions are bad, there tends to be more movement on the leaderboard. What I’m trying to say is that I expect a lot of movement on the leaderboard in Round 3. This is not a slate where I would recommend blindly targeting all of the golfers at the top of the leaderboard. The wind seems to get worse and worse throughout the day, so it’s not a bad idea to target a few golfers that are going out early.
