PGA DFS Showdown Picks and Projections – Round 4
What a Sunday we have ahead of ourselves. Seemingly, everyone not named Brooks Koepka and Scottie Scheffler is in the mix. I don’t know about you, but I was not expecting those two to shoot some of the worst rounds of the day. As it stands after Round 3, Xander Schauffele and Collin Morikawa are tied atop the leaderboard at -15. There are currently six golfers within three shots of the lead, so you get the feeling that someone is going to go out and shoot a low score and put pressure on that final group.
We have another perfect forecast for Sunday, which should lead to low scores once again. While I don’t mind the fact that the winner could be 20-under par, the low scoring does reduce some of the volatility on the leaderboard. The more difficult the course, the bigger changes we see throughout the leaderboard. The one positive is that low-scoring events lead to more fantasy points, which places less of an emphasis on finishing position points. As I always say, the difference between 8th and 50th is essentially one birdie.
I’d love to preview Round 4 a little more, but I have my first date since getting divorced a couple of years ago. Wish me luck.
