PGA DFS: Round 4 Showdown Picks & Projections - Valspar Championship
PGA DFS Showdown Picks and Projections – Round 4
It would have been nearly impossible to construct a worse showdown lineup than the one I built for Round 3. It was highlighted by Justin Thomas, who shot a 79 and lost 7.9 strokes putting. It was a performance for the ages. Keith Mitchell currently carries a two-stroke lead into the final round thanks to making four birdies and an eagle on his final seven holes. He ended the round in style by holing out from 151 yards. This is a course where birdies and bogeys can be made, so Mitchell still has a lot of work to do to win the tournament. There are six golfers currently within three shots of the lead.
The course is playing a little softer than usual but this has made playing out of the rough extremely difficult. There’s not any rain in the forecast for Sunday, but we are expecting 15 MPH sustained winds throughout the day with 20+ MPH gusts (especially early in the morning). The TOUR will not be using split tees like they did on Saturday, so there’s a full 6-hour gap between the first and last tee times. If possible, I recommend waking up before lock to check the weather one final time given the lengthy gap between tee times.
