PGA Value Breakdown: Greenbrier Classic
Selecting the absolute best value out there is crucial to cruising to top of the leaderboards. PGA guru Josh “futureoffantasy” Culp dives into the player pool, picking out his favorite value options for the week’s tournament.
Greenbrier Classic
Robert Garrigus ($6800 DK / $7900 FD / $12100 FDRFT)
Enters with roller-coaster form. He’s grabbed top 30s in three of his last five starts but finished T111 (MC) and WD in his other two starts. On the bright side, 10 of his last 15 rounds have been in the 60s. Looking at his strokes-gained numbers, Garrigus has gained strokes approaching-the-green in 9 of his last 11 starts. If we narrow it down to the last 5 events, he’s posted better proximity numbers from 75-100 yards, 100-125 yards, AND 125-150 yards. Having those wedges dialed in is perfect on a course like The Old White TPC where five of the par 4s are 415 yards or shorter. Garrigus also improves by more than half a shot per round over his baseline when it comes to playing on bentgrass greens. Fire him up!
