PGA Weekly Course Analysis: The Honda Classic

Each week, Sean O’Donnell will break down the course in detail to figure out which golfers will be in the best position to succeed.

The Honda Classic

We “finally” move to the East Coast this week for the infamous “bear trap” and another difficult course before moving to Mexico for the WGC event next week! We’ve got a fresh field with plenty of stars, but hopefully we’ll be able to pinpoint a few difference-making value plays as well. Let’s take a look!

PGA National:

Par: 70
Length: 7158
Scoring average per round: +1.3
Chances of bogey free round (field): 1.5%
Best opportunities for 3-birdie streak (field): 2-3-4-5 range but pretty slim!
Best chances for eagle: #3
