Hello Grinders. We have a seven-game main slate on FanDuel but a nine-game main slate on DraftKings and FantasyDraft that includes the Royals vs Rangers and Blue Jays vs Rockies games. As a reminder, I may not touch on every pitcher, stack or spot on this slate but I’ll do my best to focus on the ones I like the most. If something else catches your attention, feel free to play it. Let’s dive in.

Question 1: What Site Are You Playing On?

This slate is so wonky that the first question I’d ask is what site are you even playing on? Which site you’re playing on will affect your strategy and roster construction. DraftKings and FantasyDraft are including the Royals vs Rangers and Blue Jays vs Rockies games, which is significant because these two games have the highest over/under on the main slate by a wide margin. At the time of this writing, the Royals vs Rangers have an 11 run over/under, while the Blue Jays vs Rockies have close to a 13 run over/under. These are massive totals, and if these games go according to how Vegas predicts they will go, you’ll want some exposure to these games in all formats. As a result, I’m more willing to pay down at pitching on DraftKings and FantasyDraft. On a site like FanDuel that excludes these two games, I’m more willing to use my salary to pay up for pitching. The bottom line is that your site of choice will dictate your strategy moreso today than on a normal slate.
