Rankings Update 6/22: BlueStem89 Moves Up 13 Spots
Welcome to this week’s edition of the rankings update. With baseball season in full swing, it seems as if the daily fantasy world has also hit the dog days of summer. I’ve been struggling through the recent heat wave on the east coast, but wanted to get the rankings update out there to talk about the heat wave in daily fantasy. That was pretty cheesy but oh well. Not a lot of movement this week on the leaderboard, as the MLB seasonal grind wears on. With only one sport currently, it certainly makes it a lot harder to move up and down the board! Alright, well let’s take a look at who impressed in the past week and give them their rightful shout outs.
Top 25 Movement
There were four players who were able to win some money this week and improve their ranking within the Top 25 Grinders. All of these guys moved up one spot, but as I’ve said a hundred times, the higher you get in the rankings, the harder it is to improve. Our highest ranking Grinder to move up within the Top 25 is Notorious who has been heeding some of his own MLB advice and winning some good money. He had a solid week and was able to move from #14 to #13 overall. Right behind Notorious was TurdFerguson, who slid from 16th place to 15th overall thanks to some big time money making. The next Top 25 mover is Heelsman who climbs one position up to stand at 18th overall. And the final Top 25 jump of the week goes to Csuram88 who also pushed ahead by one spot and finds himself sitting comfortably at #22 overall. All of these guys have been killing it on the daily fantasy baseball circuit and are forces to be reckoned with, so watch out for them.
Movers and Shakers
There was only one double-digit jump this week, so I decided to reduce the qualification for a shout out to anyone who was able to move up 8 places or higher. From this, we found three players moving up more than the needed 8 positions. The first mover and shaker of the week is Nofear who fearlessly won a ton of money and rocketed from 90th overall to 82nd overall with an 8-spot jump. The second big jump of the week comes from BirdWings, a player who has been absolutely on fire lately and climbing up the rankings every 7 days it seems. BirdWings used a 9-spot move to climb from #93 to #84 overall. We will be sure to monitor his play and see if he can keep moving on up. The biggest jump of the week goes to our headline story of the Top 100. Bluestem89 had an incredible week and washed away his competitors en route to a 13 place jump up the big board. He ended last week in 47th place and used a solid 7-day span to push all the way to 34th place overall.
