Rankings Update 6/29: June Champion Crowned
Welcome back to another edition of the weekly RotoGrinders Rankings Update. This edition features a breakdown on all of the daily fantasy action amongst the Top-25 Grinders, shout outs to one new up and coming Grinder on our leaderboard, and highlights of all the players boasting big weeks in the daily fantasy world. Lastly, we will be taking a look at the month of June that was and crowning one player as the June RG Champion. Before that, let’s take a look at the week in Major League Baseball that we have put behind us. For those of you who have seen better days, today is a new chapter and the perfect time to turn your MLB luck around. The last week was highlighted with Cliff Lee getting surprisingly rained out on a Friday night, and hundreds of Grinders devastated. The Yankees caught fire at the plate, but lost CC Sabathia and Andy Pettite to the DL. And just about everyone in the DFS world stacked the Nationals for four straight days as they journeyed to Coors Field. Now let’s look at how some Grinders fared on the daily fantasy leaderboard.
Top 25 Update
It was a huge week in terms of Top-25 movement, with 6 total players improving their standing within the elite class of daily fantasy players. Maxdalury was the only one able to move up in the Top-5, as he slid from 3rd to 2nd overall and now stands behind only BrettFavre444 for the #1 Ranking in Grinder Nation. The only other Top 10 mover was Ronnymor2 who has continued to impress recently as he again moved upward, from 9th to 8th overall. GeneralV and Csuram88 made the only two jumps within the Top 25 greater than one spot, moving up 2 and 3 places respectively. GeneralV now stands at 15th, while Csuram88 rockets up to 19th. The other two movers were J21willy and Judson23 who used solid weeks to each move up a spot to #22 and #23 respectively. Much more movement in the top 25 this week than we are used to seeing, likely meaning that MLB season is heating up! I’m definitely excited to see how the Top-25 shapes up as the season goes forward.
Movers, Shakers and Newbies
Only one double-digit jump again this week amongst the Top-100 Grinders overall, so I decided to again include any player who was able to move up at least five places. Gamble24×7 did exactly that, moving up 5 spots to 86th, and cementing a spot on the GLB for at least a few weeks to come. One place above him after the past 7 days of action is Bombomguido who is apparently not going to the gym, tanning and doing his laundry every day. Instead he’s winning daily fantasy games at an impressive rate and moved up 7 places this week. BirdWings took flight and represents our only double-digit jump this week, so a big shout out to him. BirdWings now stands at 73rd overall after shooting up 11 places from 84th last week. And the last mover this week was last weeks headline story, Bluestem89. Bluestem89 now sits just one place outside the Top 25 Grinders after another impressive 8 place jump. He just continues to be hot. That’s the breakdown of the movers and shakers, but there is one last shout out to a guy who will be discussed further in the monthly update. TomG was the only new player on the leaderboard and has been absolutely tearing it up over at DS this month. He is killing it and now is #91 on the GLB. More to come on him in the next section.

June Champion: BrettFavre444
There is no one in the DFS world playing as well, and consistent, as BrettFavre444. He has been absolutely dominant and anyone playing at DS knows that he is a force to be reckoned with. Props to BrettFavre444 as he is the RotoGrinders Month of June Champion. After him comes three other Grinders in the Top 25 presently as well as the new guy, TomG, I just talked about. TomG edged out Ronnymor2 slightly for the month of June and took 2nd place. In 4th is headChopper who continues to have great success across daily fantasy and has always been a loyal Grinder to boot! Rounding out the top 5 for the month of June is TonyCincotta who continues to win big at DJ and FD. Congratulations to all of these guys on a great June.
