Rankings Update 8/3: July Champion Crowned
Welcome back to another edition of the RotoGrinders rankings update. We were off last week while traveling to beautiful Las Vegas(as I am sure you’ve heard by now) but are back now and ready to take on all the happenings in the daily fantasy world. We take risks on professional athletes but the elite group of players ranked in our top 100 are the professionals of DFS. The MLB season continues to roll on as MLB and PGA action dominate the daily fantasy landscape. There wasn’t a ton of movement this week, but there are a number of scorching hot players who continue to better their positions on the leaderboard. We also have the final rankings for the month of July and will crown a July champion. Let’s get to it.
Top 25 Movement
Inside the top-25 players on the Grinders leaderboard we had 4 players bettering their position. The only top ten move goes to one of the hottest DFS players in the game, Ronnymor2 who continues to roll since joining the leaderboard not all too long ago. He has moved all the way to 7th(from 8th last week) and is in prime position to take over a Top-5 spot. The next player in the Top-25 to have a huge week was Notorious who made good on his promise to redeem his infamous “Guaransheed Friday” picks after a poor display a couple of weeks ago. His picks were solid gold and he earned a lot of money with them, now he stands at 13th overall from 14th last week. Next up we have Bluestem89 who just like Ronnymor2 continues to roll up the leaderboard in an unprecedented fashion. He finds himself at 18th this week and is looking to continue his winning ways. The final Top-25 move goes to a guy who was able to advance an incredible 3 places this week, which is near impossible as you get this high up. BJBJ used a big week of MLB action to find himself in 20th overall, 3 spots up from 23rd.
Movers, Shakers and Newbies
There were three players who successfully jumped up 5 places or more this week, each of which has been a common conversation topic in the past weeks of the Rankings Update. The first moved up 6 spots, Sprtsnut4ever, as he finds himself standing in 62nd place from 68th a week ago. Big congrats to him as he continues his hot streak. The next player, BirdWings has also been rolling of late and has finally worked himself into the Top-50. Up seven spots from the last update, BirdWings is now in 50th place overall and looking to keep the upward trend going. But the biggest move for the third consecutive update goes to TomG whose 13 place jump earned him too a spot in the top-50 Grinders. TomG continues to dominate DraftStreet Baseball as he slides from 53rd overall up to 40th. Congrats TomG
We had two new players as well this week, including one who moved all the way up to 74th. But first, it is Wolf622 who killed it and has joined the ranks of the elite DFS players. Wolf622 stands at 93rd place overall and will be hoping to stay in the Top-100 in the weeks ahead. The highest place for a new player goes to DKMaestro who has advanced all of the way to 74th place overall. Many of you have probably seen DKMaestro in the forums and I am fairly certain he will be attending our RG Las Vegas trip in a month. Big ups to him and congrats to both these guys.

July Rankings Update
Our winner for the umpteenth consecutive month was BrettFavre44 who continues to use a massive bankroll to pummel the competition and win a boat load of money. What’s more interesting is the gap closed by Grinder TomG who only lost out to BrettFavre44 by a little over 200 points. That seems like a lot but Brett takes advantage of the PGA action which offers you a good bonus in the RG Ranks while TomG focuses just on MLB. The month of August is still young, but TomG has an early lead in that department right now and maybe we will see a new monthly champion crowned by month’s end! Congrats as well to Ronnymor2, DukeDog71 and MaxDalury who wrapped up the top-5 for the month of July
