Rankings Update: The Beginning of the Mee Mee Era

rankings trophy

Hello Sports Fans! I’d like to welcome you to this edition of the Weekly Grinder Rankings. As most of you know, Ethan has moved on to bigger ventures (mostly making us more spreadsheets, inventing new stats and eventually World domination), and I will be taking over this column. Some of you may know me from the somewhat infamous Mee Mee Thread in the forums. Others of you may just see me lurking around in the Grinders Live chat way too much. I welcome any and all feedback and suggestions, so feel free to comment below if there is anything you’d love to see added into the column.

This article will continue to recognize the top players in our industry on a weekly basis. We will also continue to recognize those who have had their noses to the grind and are making their first appearances in our rankings. Some lucky Grinders may even be immortalized in true RotoGrinders mee mee form. I find it only appropriate that I “meme-orialize” the previous author of this article for my first official column mee mee. Without further ado:

Movement in the Top-25 This Week

Condia maintains his number one overall spot. It’s been a quiet summer with very little from the Condia-man. I for one am excited to see what kind of volume he puts up once NFL starts again.

Metsfan828 makes the biggest jump of the week heading up to the 14th spot. Headchopper finished installing his new curtains and got back into the baseball grind, moving up one spot.

Rankings #26-100: New Players and Players Moving Up

New Players to the Leaderboard

Congrats to reztes757 for moving into the Grinders Leaderboard. The #6 Tournament Player of the Year is proving that he’s not just a Tournament player, but also a serious Daily Grinder. Look for reztes’ volume of play to continue keeping him moving up the Top 100.

Movers in the Top-100

This week’s big mover is McJester as he continues to rocket up the leader board after debuting at #45 last week. A top tournament player this year, his medium and high stakes volume is pushing him higher every day. A solid player who I would fully expect to see in the Top 25 very soon.

Dips56 is knocking back on the door to the Top 25, and Emac has been making some solid finishes in the $27 Heater on FTD after taking down the Friday Night Fight there a few weeks ago. Somehow Emac manages to juggle a full time job, being the Weekend Warrior for RotoGrinders, and online shopping for National’s hats. A regular jack of all trades.

Naapstermaan continues to dominate our TPOY rankings. With the sure to be huge Football and NBA Kickoff prize pools that I’m sure we will see this fall, it can still be anyone’s game.

Three names to look out for in the field are Pepsi7, woopdeedoo and HeadChopper. All three have not maxed out their 30 finishes for the competition. Any more large scores will jump them further up the leader board. It will be interesting to see how much tournament play Pepsi7 continues this fall after the bankroll boosting 1st place DFBC finish.

With the SweetSpot running on DraftKings and the PFBC this weekend, look for some possible shake-up in the standings over the next few days.

Birdwings continues to make up ground on ehafner in the Seasonal Baseball standings. A solid push through the last 6 weeks of the season could see Birdwings become the #1 baseball grinder. This could be an all out race to the pennant.

Birdwings has put in some serious volume this month, with over double second place. I think it’s safe to say that he should have August pretty well wrapped up.

That wraps it up for my first attempt at the Weekly Rankings. I’ll drop in some more flavor as I get more used to writing this. Feel free to leave me any feedback!
