Ravens vs. Chargers – NFL Player Props

Justin Herbert OVER 21.5 Completions (-110, BetMGM)

Justin Herbert has gone under this market number in each of his last 4 games, but that could change this evening against Baltimore. Since Week 7, the Ravens’ run defense ranks 2nd in EPA/play and 2nd in success rate against the run, which should force the Chargers to prioritize the short passing game to a higher extent than we have seen from them in many other games in 2024. It’s also worth noting that Herbert attempted 36 passes last week but only had 17 completions. Given Herbert’s 66.3% completion rate for his career and 63.5% completion rate this season, it stands to reason that his last game is more of an outlier and not something that we should expect from him on a weekly basis. If Herbert throws the ball 34+ times tonight, this play is likely to have a good chance to cash.

Quentin Johnston OVER 22.5 Yards Longest Reception (-114, FanDuel)

This season, only Jacksonville’s defense has allowed more pass completions of 20+ yards than Baltimore. That means Quentin Johnston is positioned for a big performance this evening given his role as a deep threat in this Los Angeles offense. Since the team’s bye, Justin Herbert has the 4th-highest aDOT of any qualified quarterback in the NFL, so this offense hasn’t been afraid to throw the deep ball either. Johnston has a 14.1 aDOT during that span. He should get at least a few opportunities to get this job done on Monday.

Zay Flowers OVER 4.5 Receptions (-130, FanDuel)

Zay Flowers has gone under this market number in both of his last 2 games, but he’s still seen at least 6 targets in 4 consecutive contests, so there shouldn’t be too much concern that he’s falling out of favor in the team’s passing attack. The Chargers’ defense ranks 5th in DVOA against tight ends in 2024, which could mean even more opportunities funneled to Flowers this evening. This could be a good buy-low spot for a very talented receiver.
