RG Rankings Update: MLB Kicks Off, NHL/NBA Stretch Run
Welcome to another week of the rankings update, and thanks for joining me yet again as I attempt to sift through the ever growing daily fantasy world and acknowledge some of the finest and hottest players around. It has been an absolutely crazy week in sports, with plenty of room for players to make moves up the board through their sport of choice. Baseball fanatics are celebrating opening week in the MLB, NHL fans are preparing themselves for the start of yet another exciting playoffs, and basketball lovers are fully settled in as the teams come down the stretch. So what does this mean for our daily fantasy world? It means there is a ton of movement and a lot of opportunities to better your standing in the DFS world. Let’s get to the headlines, shout outs and general news.
Headline Story: Four New Players On The Leaderboard
The typical headline story congratulates one player for making an unprecedented move, whether that be within the top ten, fifty or hundred. This week there were four players joining the board, one of the highest totals in recent memory. For that, I felt the need to give them all the recognition as the headline story. I had to be politically correct this week and share the honors…everyone gets a trophy! Anyways, the highest recognition goes to Turdferguson who, aside from having an interesting name, joined the RG board at #48 overall. From his RG profile, it is clear that he is an ace of baseball and the starting gun to the MLB season has sparked a fierce fire under Turdferguson**s belt. Great work **Turdferguson and look out for him in MLB leagues as the season progresses. We could be looking at a future top ten guy.
The second newcomer squeezes into the top 3/4 of the top 100 at an impressive 75th place overall, Al13131. Al13131 has used a mix of basketball and baseball to push his standing upward. The ability to succeed in two sports is something every DFS player can appreciate. The final two new players on the board joined at #89 and #100 respectively. Bcrev229 is our 89th ranked player, whose hard work in the NBA leagues has finally earned him a place on the leader board. Big ups to Bcrev229. The #100 ranked player, Dooger1234 needs to stay on his A-game to maintain his standing, but has been impressive nonetheless with a series of NBA and MLB victories on FanDuel. Great work again to all these guys and good luck moving forward.
Top Ten Update: Dinkpiece Slides Up As A Dark Horse Lurks At #11
Congratulations go out to Dinkpiece who is gaining steam and looking to climb back up the rankings. He stands at #8 after a strong week and is always a danger to be moving up again soon. Great job Dinkpiece and, for everyone else, try not to join his leagues he’s definitely on fire. The a fore mentioned “dark horse” is GeneralV who moved from 13th to 11th this week. He stands just outside the illusive top ten, following a huge week in NBA action. Great work to GeneralV, who won basically every GPP on FanDuel in one night, taking home upwards of $5,000! I look forward to seeing if the General can crack that top ten in the next week or two.
Movers And Shakers:Two Equal, Double-Digit Jumps
Two players were able to move up a whopping 14 places this week. They were the only two to put together a double-digit move on the leader board, an extremely difficult task. First props go to Dsipl777 who used his fourteen place move to stand at #60 overall. He continues to climb the leaderboard, and if he can make a few more big leaps, he will cement his place in the top 25 or so players easily. The other fourteen spot mover was Btjordan23 who stands at #67 overall. He joined the leader board only a couple of weeks ago but is already making big moves to displace some of the preexisting powers. I’m definitely excited to see how Btjordan23 grows, and you should be as well.
