What a Weekend in DFS (and what a great weekend for RotoGrinders)! – If you didn’t hear the news, our very own Dan Back won the FSTA award for Podcast of the Year this weekend in Vegas. Also, fellow RotoGrinders contributor and everybody’s favorite Australian, Gibbathy, won an award for Golf Writer of the Year. Give these two a shoutout, and if you haven’t already, subscribe to the podcast.
Qualifiers EVERYWHERE – We had several qualifiers on DraftKings this past weekend for their FBWC event in March. Grinder MichiganKevin punched his ticket on Friday, and on Sunday night Gdaddy80 and Dukedixon reserved their seats for the prestigious Championship event. In other news, GrinderLive host RadThad954 won his seat to the Fantasy Aces championship event later in March. Congrats to all.
Don’t throw to Richard Sherman, as he’s a beast and will catch the ball, which is not what you want to do when you’re on the other team.
MLK Day: Non-Stop NBA Action
We have a full slate of NBA games today, which kicks off at 2:00 PM EST with Philadelphia @ Washington, with the games then going on all through the afternoon and into the evening. The NBA really do like to take care of us on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, don’t they?
NBA GPPs – The industry is growing like crazy right now, and with just a quick perusal of the lobbies of the major sites I can see approximately a trillion dollars in guaranteed prizes (not really, but close). DraftKings has two qualifiers to their FBWC kicking off with the all-day slate. There is also a $100K guaranteed Crossover in the lobby. On FanDuel there are early slates and there are late slates. The early Slam is guaranteed for $150K, while the late is guaranteed for a paltry $125K (sarcasm font).

12:30 PM EST: The Daily Fantasy Happy Hour – IT’S HAPPY HOUR! a bit early, but you can still join CrazyGabey and the newly qualified RadThad for a pretend happy hour.
