In Case You Missed It
- Weekend Qualifiers – Over the weekend we had three new players qualify for seats in the various live final events. On FanDuel, Grinders Live host TommyG took down the $25 DFBC Qualifier Friday night with first, fourth, and fifth place finishes. Awesome showing! DraftKings had the $400k Sweet Spot on Friday night, where nastinati took home first and second, taking home $65k and a trip to Atlantis to play in the championship event. In both cases, the key was to have stacked the Nats, who were facing a possible rain out that day. It caused guys like Strasburg to be very underowned, and when they blew up, it gave these guys a huge edge in their GPPs. Then on Saturday night, Guindi989 won the $1000 qualifier to win his seat, narrowly beating out grinder 00oreo00, who had to finishes in the top four. Also, the StarStreet Streak to the Mansion started on Saturday night. It continues today and I’ll be sure to keep you updated as it gets closer to the final field.
- These Cards are Stacked – See what I did there? So many double meanings. Stlcardinals84 took down the FanDuel Monster yet again this weekend for another $25k score. He took it down with his now famous mini-stack strategy, stacking the Dodgers and the Mariners, although this time he did take one other player instead of the full two team, four player mini stack he usually does. Unfortunately he wasn’t as successful in his High Stakes Series against Favre, but in all honesty I don’t think he’s too worried about it given his recent success! Congrats on the run man, truly incredible!
Today’s Events
- Today’s Action – The NBA and NHL playoffs continue tonight, and both have three games on the schedule tonight. In the NBA, Dallas leads the series against the 1-seeded Spurs 2-1 heading into Game 4 tonight thanks to a last second buzzer beater trey from Vince Carter on Saturday night. Meanwhile there are only 7 games on the diamond tonight, which is rather slow for a Monday, but it seems like a decent number if you’re short on time for research.
- Today’s GPP’s – FanDuel is running a $40k Strikeout in addition to their $109 DFBC Qualifier tonight, so if you like the shorter schedules tonight is a great night to take a shot at some of these huge GPPs. Over on DraftKings there is a $50k Perfect Game running at a $200 buy in as well as a $15k tournament for the high rolliers ($1k buy in) and the medium roll guys ($27 buy in). Also worth mentioning is that DraftDay is upping the ante this week with their $109 buy in GPP. The guaranteed amount has been raised to $5k all week. It’s sitting at a $109 buy in with $2k to first place.
