In Case You Missed It
- A Sixth DFS Millionaire – Last night DraftStreet announced their $3,000,000 baseball championship that awards a million bucks to first place, which means that if you count this past NFL season, we’re going to have a total of six players win a million in one tournament playing DFS. Absolutely incredible. The final event is online, but it’s a multiple day event. Be sure to check out all of the details in the article I linked earlier.
- Another Vegas Bound Grinder – When I was in grade school, I thought that my teachers lived at the school and did nothing but plan activites for us to do the next day. Well that’s certainly not the case for this Grinder! Last night mattness, AKA msilda took down the FanDuel $109 qualifier to win the trip to Vegas and the shot at a million bucks. Looks like you’re gonna have to take some time off from school!
- DraftKings May Major – DraftKings announced it’s May Legend Series Major event last night, and it looks pretty sweet! It’s a $500k event with a similar setup to the NBA Showcase they did during the NBA season. First place takes home $100k in cash OR $50k and a trip to Atlantis for the finals, so it’s sure to be a popular event!
Today’s Events
- Tonight’s Action – There’s a full schedule in the Major Leagues tonight, with all 15 teams playing night games. Which means plenty of action for us baseball junkies! There are a number of aces on the mound tonight, including Fernandez, Gio, Verlander, and Greinke, so nailing your pitchers will be key to winning tonight. The NBA has three games of playoff basketball, including Game 5 of the Warriors/Clippers series, which is tied at 2 a piece fresh off the ridiculous comments made by Clippers owner Donald Sterling. I could write a whole article about this nonsesne, but I’ll spare you (for now). There’s only one game in hockey tonight, so no DFS, but the Rangers have a chance to take the series with a victory over the Flyers tonight.
- Today’s GPP’s – The major sites are busting out the big guns tonight. FanDuel has a $150k Monster and a $50k Strikeout on top of the $535 DFBC Qualifier that they have running tonight. Over on DraftKings there is a $100k Perfect Game and a $40k Payoff Pitch in addition to their Legend Series Qualifier, which is going off at a $200 buy in. And of course we can’t forget DraftStreet running the first DSBC Qualifier tonight. It is running with a $22 buy in, with the winner getting entry to the finals, 2nd and 3rd winning cash, and 4th-227th getting vouchers to future qualifiers.
