WARNING: If you haven’t noticed by now, I’m a huge Husky fan. As you can imagine, I was out late last night and I’m pretty pumped, so get ready for the UConn gifs!
Welcome to the RotoGrinders cup o’morning joe. Start your day off on the right foot with yesterday’s happenings and take a peek at the the upcoming day in the world of DFS.
So kick back, grab your first cup of coffee, and catch up on the latest news!
In Case You Missed It
- A Champion is Crowned – The Hungry Huskies came out with reckless abandon last night and shocked the world as they took down the Kentucky Wildcats 60-54. UConn now has 4 National Titles since 1999, the most in the NCAA, and are undefeated in the championship game. Kentucky never had a lead, and at one point was down as much as 15 points. Shabazz was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four, and in his post game interview he called out the NCAA for UConn’s ridiculous ban from the tournament last year. Overall the Huskies guard play was top notch, and because of that, UConn is now the top dog. Of course we can’t forget the Lady Huskies playing Notre Dame tonight in a battle of two unbeaten teams. If UConn wins tonight, they will have won both championships in the same year twice since 2004, the only team to ever accomplish that feat.
- Another Grinder in the DFBC –
Legend of Zelda VillianGrinders member, ganondorf took down the $270 DFBC Qualifier last night in decisive fashion, beating out the next best team by almost 6 fantasy points. His team was lead by a red hot Troy Tulowitzki, with a single, double, walk and home run for 11 fantasy points. According to his profile it looks like he normally plays in the $5-$20 range, so this was no doubt a huge win for him, as he now has a seat in Veags and a shot at a million bucks.
Here’s a few more sweet, sweet gifs from last night, just because this is my article and screw you I want to use them. I promise that these are the last ones though:

Today’s Events
- DK Announcement Tonight – Tonight at 7:05 EST, there will be a special Grinders Live show to make a huge announcement from the guys at DraftKings. Make sure you tune in, because you won’t want to miss this!
- Tonight’s Action – Six games on the schedule in the NBA tonight, including a few that should be chock full of fantasy goodness. Atlanta tries to hold on to their lead in the playoff hunt as they host the Pistons in what should be a pretty fast paced game. But the Gary Oldman Fantasy Goodness Game of the Night(Copyright D4) goes to the Houston/Lakers game, which should be played at breakneck speed with some points to go around, especially in the guards. There is also a 10 game schedule in the rink tonight, so plenty of hockey goodness to go around as well. In baseball there are 4 day games and 10 night games, so make sure you check the GPP schedule of your favorite site to determine which game set you’re playing.
- Today’s GPP’s – DraftKings is hosting its $400,000 Walk Off tonight, and it looks like it’s going to fill, so be sure to grab your seat while you can. That tournament has a $200 buy-in, but they’re also running a Medium and Mini version of it at $20 and $2 if that’s more your price range. And of course we can’t forget the $10k NBA Crossover. FanDuel has another $10 DFBC qualifier running today, with a trip to Vegas on the line, and their NBA is still going strong with a $50k NBA Slam. DraftStreet has a wide range of buy-ins and prize pools for all three sports tonight, going all the way up to a $6k, $22 buy-in contest in baseball.
