- Site Update – Due to the site update over the weekend we were unable to obtain the weekend gpp links, this feature will return in the coming days. Riley has posted a thread in the forum with updates and information on pending fixes and updates to the site. It can be found here
- PGA Championship – Rory McIlroy won his second major of the year this weekend after overcoming a 3 shot deficit going into the final 9 holes on Sunday at Valhalla. An eagle at the 10th hole and bogeys from Phil Mickelson, Henrik Stenson and Rickie Fowler got Rory back into contention, and by the 17th hole he pulled away from the field with a 2 shot lead. Phil Mickelson shot a 66 on Sunday and finished 2nd in a major championship for the 9th time in his career.
- Sunday Dongs There were 26 dongs in Sundays MLB action. Devin Mesoraco of the Reds had the only double dong.

Tonight’s MLB – Here’s tonight’s MLB slate of 10 games starting at 7:05 and a few random game notes.
7:05pm – Yankees (61-55)@ Orioles (67-49) – Chris Capuano will try to turn the Yankees luck around against the Baltimore Orioles team that has beaten them 6 of 9 times times season. Capuano is 0-1 with an ERA of 2.84 since joining the Yankees in July and has yet to give up a home run. Caleb Joseph’s 5 game dong streak came to an end Sunday night against the Cardinals. Baltimore will start Bud Norris who is 9-7 with a 3.68 ERA.
7:05pm – Tigers (63-51) @ Pirates (62-54) – Justin Verlander has allowed 80 earned run this season skyrocketing his ERA to 4.57, but is 4-0 with a 1.97 ERA vs the Pirates. At PNC park this season Jeff Locke carries a 2.57 ERA this season.
7:10pm – Dodgers (66-52) @ Braves (59-57) – Kevin Correia will get the spot start today for the Dodgers in place of Dan Haren, lifetime Correia is 3-3 with an ERA of 4.24 vs the Braves. Justin Upton has faced Correia 44 times and is 16-44 with a dong. Julio Teheran takes the mound for the Braves this evening. He has been excellent at home in his last 11 starts at Turner field he is 4-0 and has struck out 51 batters. Hanley Ramirez was placed on the disabled list over the weekend with an oblique injury.
7:10pm – Cardinals (61-54) @ Marlins (57-59) Giancarlo Stanton hit his 29th dong yesterday and has hit 6 home runs in his last 9 games. Garrett Jones has had some success against Cardinals starting pitcher Shelby Miller he is 7-13 with 2 home runs lifetime against him. Tom Koehler 7-9 with a 3.80ERA takes the mound for the Marlins.
8:05pm – Rays (57-59) @ Rangers (45-71) – Drew Smyly and the Rays take on Colby Lewis and baseball’s worst team the Rangers this evening. Lewis has an ERA of 5.50 but a lot of the reason for it being so high was giving up 13 earned runs to the Angels last month. Since then he has gone 2-2 with a 2.30 ERA.
8:05pm – Brewers (66-52) @ Cubs (49-66) – Stalin Castro has a 9 game hitting streak going for the Cubs and he will have a good chance to keep it going tonight against Yovani Gallardo. Castro hold an average close to .400 lifetime vs Gallardo in 37 at bats. Jake Arrieta takes the mound for the Cubs, he is 6-3 with a 2.80 ERA this season.
8:10pm – Athletics (72-44) @ Royals (62-53) – Yordano Ventura will take on baseball’s best team for the first time. He is 9-8 this season with a 3.47 ERA. Sonny Gray takes the mound for the A’s, in his last start on August 6th he gave up 6 earned runs in 4 innings against the Rays.
8:10pm – Twins (51-64) @ Astros (49-68) – Tommy Milone will get his first start as a Minnesota Twin tonight since being traded by the A’s for Sam Fuld. Astro’s starter Brad Peacock has allowed 15 runs in his last 8 2/3 innings pitched and is 3-8 with a 5.44 ERA this season.
10:10pm – Rockies (45-71) @ Padres (53-62) – Seth Smith has crushed the Rockies in his last 10 games facing them, he has 9 rbi’s and an average of .464. Rockies slugger Carlos Gonzalez was placed on the Disabled list again on Sunday with a left knee issue.
10:10pm – Blue Jays (62-56) @ Mariners (61-55) – Felix Hernandez 12-3 with a 1.97 ERA will take on a Blue Jays
team that played 19 innings yesterday then flew to Seattle for today’s game. Drew Hutchison will likely have to pitch deep into the game for the Blue Jays after their bullpen was used extensively yesterday. Melky Cabrera reached base 8 times yesterday in the 6-5 19 inning win over the Tigers.
