In Case You Missed It
- DraftKings Announces the $300,000 Spring Classic – Go big or go home. Grip it and rip it. Let the big dog eat. Remember when Aguiar had the huge afro? All phrases that are used frequently in the DraftKings office. We all knew that when it came to a golf event, they were not going to disappoint. Well go big they sure did, announcing the Spring Classic with a guaranteed $300,000 prize pool and a $200 entry fee for Masters week. First place will be walking away with a cool $100,000. Satellites are beginning today and run through the beginning of the contest. There are also NBA satellites feeding into it as well.
- Tickets, Tickets, Got Their Tickets – Last night in DraftKings Showcase action, stepehnk32 dialed 1-800-KEV-LOVE and rode him to a 0.75 point victory. (Editor’s note: Please do not confuse this with 1-800-ROTO-KEV. That’s a completely different experience than 1-800-KEV-LOVE. It’s mostly talk about taxes and College Football.) Radthad (#86 overall Grinder) became the next double-dipper, using the services of Kyle Lowry and Gordon Hayward to comfortable 8 point victories. Over on DS, peter413 took down the spot in DSBBC Q #24.
Today’s Events
- Podcast Interview with Troll4MVP – Today on the Daily Fantasy Fix Podcast, Dan welcomes Troll4MVP. Troll has been a short time RotoGrinder, having just joined the site in December, but I for one was excited to see him join the site and knew he’d have a serious impact on the rankings. He’s already moved up to #2 in NBA, #14 Overall and #5 in the TPOY. Join Dan as he sits down (virtually) with the man of many MVP names.
- NBA Tonight – It’s the last night before the All-Star break and there’s a short two game schedule with the Bulls hosting the Nets and OKC heads out west to meet the Lakers.
- PGA Northern Trust Open – If you’re reading this before 9:30, then you still have some time to get your line-ups in before lock. The NTO is taking place at Riviera Country Club in beautiful Los Angeles. DKs has rolled out their big tournaments with a $25,000, $109 buy-in GPP and many other smaller tournaments for all buy-in levels. They are also running satellites to the aforementioned Spring Classic. DraftStreet is running a $22 GPP with a guaranteed $20,000 prize pool and $5000 to first place. They are also running satellites to their $100,000 Masters Tournament as well.
