In Case You Missed It
- Kevin Love Scares Everyone, Lakers Still Suck – Kevin Love took a nasty fall on a late game foul last night versus the Lakers. Love says he is good to go for the next game. He poured in 31 points and grabbed 18 boards before the injury. The Lakers have lost seven straight, and don’t seem anywhere close to righting the ship, especially when their recovery plan includes Ryan Kelly (I love Duke, but really Lakers?) and Jodie Meeks, who managed to play all of one minute last night before hurting himself, and causing about half of DFS players to just shut off their computers last night. I hate the Lakers as much as the next guy, but c’mon, get it together.
- DraftStreet Hockey Championship – The first two days are in the books of the inaugural DSHC with 10 players still left in the field to compete for the first place $12,000 prize. GrindersLive co-hots BillsFan777 is among the final 10 along with #1 Ranked Grinder Lowkey, Yannick8 and JRake09. They will take the day off, then come back tomorrow to fight it out for first place. - Bloggers of the Month – This month had the best blogger submissions we’ve seen here at RotoGrinders. If you haven’t had a chance, scroll down to the bottom of the front page and check out the content that is submitted on a daily basis by #GrinderNation. The blogs are chalk full of quality info and outside the box thinking. Also, our top bloggers are paid out prizes in Draftstreet cash. Check out the winners here: January 2014 Blogger Awards
Today’s Events
- NBA Tonight – A BIG NBA schedule tonight with 12 games on the docket. The biggest match-up of the night sees Miami travel to LA to take on the Clippers. Other good match-ups include the Suns taking on the Rockets and the Trailblazers coming to NY to face the Knicks.
- HUGE NBA Tournaments – Tonight has a ridiculous slate of big NBA tournaments across the industry. The biggest is on Draftstreet where they are running their NBA Big Score tonight. Tonight’s buy-in is $22 in the $150,000 guarantee tournament with $50,000 being paid out to first place. Also on DS is the $109 Qualifier for the DSBBC. Right now both are under half full. On Fanduel, the Wednesday SuperSlam is going off at $120,000 guaranteed with a $25 buy-in and $13k to first place. Draftkings is giving away two more golden tickets to the Showcase tonight, in $11 and $109 action. Get your entries now folks, as tonight is probably the most affordable night to make a big score that DFS has ever seen.
- NHL Tonight -The NHL is keeping it quiet with only three games tonight, but there are two great match-ups with Chicago visiting Anaheim and Dallas going to San Jose. Also Pittsburgh takes on Buffalo. If there was ever a three game NHL slate with fantasy value, tonight is the night.
