- Last Night’s Winners
The Draftstreet 100k World Cup Big Score took place yesterday afternoon. Grinders member NaturalSlugger took down the 20k first prize with a score of 57.2.
Over on Fanduel the 50k MLB Monster was won by grinders member Punisher09 with a combination of Brewers and Blue Jays bats.
Draftkings 40k Perfect Game was dominated by user ThunderCats. He took down the 10k first place prize with the help of a great performance by the very low owned J.A Happ.
- NBA DRAFT
The Cleveland Cavaliers first pick in the 2014 NBA draft was Andrew Wiggins. Jabari Parker was the overall #2 pick drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks. Rounding out the top 3 was the injured Joel Embid selected by none other than the Philadelphia 76ers. DFS favorite Shabazz Napier was the 24th overall pick selected by the Miami Heat. - PGA
Tiger Woods made his return to the PGA Tour yesterday after missing nearly 3 months with a back injury. After a rough start with 7 bogeys in his first 12 holes, Tiger finished his round with three birdies in the last 6 holes for a round of 74. The Quicken Loans National at Congressional Country Club continues with round two today.
- World Cup
With a little (a lot?) of help from Ghana and Portugal the Unites States men’s team advanced to the round of 16 despite a 1-0 loss vs Germany yesterday. The next match for the U.S is Tuesday at 4:00pm vs Belgium on ESPN. With the win Germany also advances, and takes on Algeria Monday at 4:00pm on ESPN. Algeria advanced to the next round after 1-1 draw yesterday vs Russia. Even though Portugal beat Ghana 2-1 Thursday afternoon it was not enough for them to advance to the knock out round based on goal difference. The full Fifa World Cup Bracket can be seen Here
