In Case You Missed It
- The Kings of OT – Coming into the Stanley Cup Finals, a lot of people had the Kings pegged as the pretty heavy favorites for the series, but there were still factors playing to the Rangers’ favor. One of these factors was the general exhaustion that many expected the Kings to be facing. The Kings’ last series went all the way to Game 7, which gave the Rangers a couple extra days of rest. Well, last night’s game certainly won’t help the exhaustion of either team, because at the end of regulation the game was tied at 2 goals a piece. The Kings would end up pulling it out in OT 5 minutes into the extra period off of a Rangers turnover and a Justin Williams goal. Game 2 will be played in Los Angeles on Saturday.
- Hump Day Qualifiers – On a high scoring night in DFS, you had to hit on pretty much everything to take down a big GPP, which makes these qualifiers even more impressive. Unless you just stacked the Diamondbacks, you cheater! I’m kidding of course, because you had to stack them to win, as all of last night’s qualifiers did. Grinder roknows79 took down the $200 DFBC Qualifier, dandydon locked up one of the 5 seats to Friday’s FBC qualifier on DraftKings, and chetames beat out the field of 1000+ to win himself a seat in the DraftStreet DSBC Final and a shot at a million. GrindersLive’s own DraftCheat also took down a seat to play in the World Series of Poker Main Event on DraftKings. Well done guys!
Today’s Events
- Tonight’s Action – I’m just gonna say it. Today’s MLB schedule is awful, even for a Thursday. We have 11 games in total today, with only 6 of them starting after 7 EST. I guess that actually isn’t much different than a typical Thursday, but I’m on a hot streak and I’m grumpy because I want a better schedule to keep it going, so I’ve decided that it’s worse. Deal with it. There’s good news though! Tonight is Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the Heat and the Spurs, and it should be a fantastic series to follow. Will the Heat win their third straight Championship, or will the Spurs rise to the top once again and take down their fifth title in 15 years? I don’t know about you, but I’m excited to find out!
