In Case You Missed It
- Weekend Qualifiers – It was a pretty slow weekend in the world of major finals qualifiers. On Friday night, jaydontpay took down the $25 DFBC Q with a huge game from the 5% owned Tanner Roark. That same night, the infamous rickmillitar took down the DSBC Q for his own seat at a final event with a shot at a million bucks.
- Self Inflicted Shame – A few days after introducing the worst shaming punishment yet, Duckiesuccumbs found himself at the bottom of the standings for his own Tournament of Shame contest. I imagine he spent the rest of the weekend creating and ordering a DraftCheat t-shirt, and you can now look forward to what should be a very entertaining video of Duckie shaming himself in public this weekend.
- Hardy Dong Contest – My goal with this headline was to make it sound as ridiculous as possible, and I’m pretty sure I achieved that goal. This contest is pretty simple, just guess the date on which JJ Hardy hits his first home run of the season, post your guess in this forum thread, and the closest guess wins a RotoGrinders t-shirt! Make sure your date hasn’t been chosen yet, or you won’t be able to win, but other than that it’s pretty simple. Thanks to skeeter1114 for the great idea.
Today’s Events
- Tonight’s Action – We have a 12 game schedule in Major League Baseball today, with just one game between the Rays and the Mariners kicking off at 1 PM EST. The remainder of the 11 games begin after 7, which leaves us with a decent sized 11 game slate for tonight’s contests. Also, the puck drops on Game 3 of the Stanley Cup finals tonight as the New York Rangers look to dig themselves out of a 2-0 hole early in the series.
