So kick back, grab your first cup of coffee, and catch up on the latest news!
A Quick Note From D4: Some of you may have noticed that there is a new name in the author spot of this article. It has been a lot of fun doing the Rise & Grind, and I sincerely appreciate all the great feedback everyone has given on the article. Recently I was lucky to be hired into an exciting new job. Unfortunately with this job I must step away from my articles here at RotoGrinders. But, have no fear all! I won’t be too far away. After much discussion and a lengthy pledging process that put Animal House to shame, we have selected CruzinToVictory as the new host of the Rise & Grind. So anything from here on out is his fault. Don’t come looking for me! Thanks again to the community for all the positive feedback. And those of you that didn’t like it, in the words of Doug McKenzie, Take off, you hosers!
In Case You Missed It
- The Sweet Sixteen is set! – We had an epic weekend of college basketball, and in true March Madness style there were a few big upsets. Some of the more notable ones included Dayton shocking ‘Cuse and Stanford taking down Kansas, setting up a 10 vs. 11 seed matchup in the Sweet Sixteen. And of course I would be remiss if I didn’t give a shout out to Shabazz and my Huskies taking down 2 seeded Villanova!
- You’re Not Gonna be a Billionaire – If you were day-dreaming about storming into your bosses office, throwing your perfect bracket on the desk and quitting, it’s time to make other plans. Warren Buffet’s Billion Dollar Bracket challenge didn’t last very long. In fact, the last perfect bracket didn’t even make it past the first round (yes it’s the first round, that First Four B.S. doesn’t count). Obama’s pick for the National Champion, Michigan State, is still alive. Unfortunately Joe Biden wasn’t quite so lucky with his picks:

- Weekend GPP Action – Collinjc775 won a seat to the Playboy Mansion Saturday night. A pair of 60 burgers from Chris Paul and James Harden helped him soar past the star studded group to lock up the seat. The $40k DraftStreet CBB Blowout wrapped up last night as well, with batboy taking home the top spot and a cool $10,000. The FanDuel Survive the Madness games are both down to the money spots, with the remaining players set to battle it out over the Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight games.
Today’s Events
- Tonight’s Action – A whopping ten game schedule is on tap for the NBA on this Monday night. The Philadelphia
Development League team76ers keep paving their way to tank city, going for their record 25th loss in a row tonight as they take on the first place Spurs. And of course you can’t forget the six games on slate in the NHL.
- Today’s GPP’s – DraftKings is hosting their RG-Only satellite to the $1,000,00 Bankshot tonight, which features $1,500 in guaranteed overlay. They’re also running a $15k Showtime and a $10k Crossover, which sports a $27 buy in. StarStreet is running one of its final qualifiers to the Playboy Mansion tonight at a $1060 buy in. Finally, the FanDuel Slam is running tonight at $60k guaranteed, with $8,500 to first place.
