In Case You Missed It
- Grinders Nation Takes ALL THE MONIES – Anyone who tells you that DFS is not a game of skill is full of….well they’re just wrong. There was a pretty ridiculous amount of money won last night, and a great deal of it went to Grinders. The DraftKings $1,000,000 Bank Shot had almost $24,000 in overlay, but our very own Scott (Sports_25toLife) took down the top prize of $100k with a little help from the fact that Boogie dropped a 70 point bomb on the Knicks. McJester, Headchopper, and Kobe4MVP were also amoung the top 10. Over on DraftStreet, the crazy top-heavy Big Score tournament awarded a $50k first place prize to the panda king himself, Naapsterman. This guy is an absolute GPP beast and no one is surpsrised one bit to see him take it down. And of course we can’t forget Kcannon for taking down the last PBC spot! Man that field is loaded with sharks, but it should be fun to see who takes it down this weekend. Congrats to all of you guys, you deserve every bit of it!
- The NFL’s New Rules – The NFL announced yesterday that they will be banning “Slam Dunks” over the goal post this year, further solidifying their nickname – the “No Fun League”. Said Jimmy Graham, “I guess I’ll just have to be the most penalized player in football.” Seriously guys? Of all the things you need to do, this was what got passed into rule?
Today’s Events
- Tonight’s Action – After a massive night of NBA action we’re left with only 4 games on the slate tonight, and Philly and the Lakers are playing in two of them. Let’s be honest, you’re burnt out on the NBA anyway. Lucky for you there’s plenty of CBB and NHL action to go around! The best event in sports continues tonight with the kick off of the Sweet Sixteen, including what should be a great matchup between the Bruins of UCLA and Cam’s own Florida Gators.
- Today’s GPP’s – DraftStreet is running a second version of their March Madness Blowout tonight. This tourney is a survivor style game where the top half of the field advances each day until the final round on Saturday and Sunday. It boasts a $40,000 prize pool with only a $22 buy in. These formats are a blast so be sure to check it out. Also, DraftKings is running their more traditional style Madness GPP, with a whopping $50k in prizes at a $109 buy in. If you truly insist on playing NBA tonight, the FanDuel slam is running at $55k, with $7,000 going to first place. In the NHL world, DraftDay is hosting the $10,000 guaranteed Ice Throne tonight at a buy-in of $44 with $2k going to first place.
