Rise & Grind: Wednesday, January 21st
Welcome to the RotoGrinders cup o’morning joe. Start your day off right here, as we run over yesterday’s happenings and take a peek at the upcoming DFS day.
In Case You Missed it
We’re Going to Vegas Baby! – Last night was hockey night in DFS world and with that, the two major sites brought us some live finals qualifiers. On FanDuel, Grinder dmoen21 punched his seat to the Las Vegas championship event with a Chicago and Detroit stack that netted him first place among 2250 of his closest friends. Over on DraftKings, LSphila narrowly edged the field, also with a Chicago-Detroit stack, to land himself the third seat in the DraftKings World Hockey Championship event. Congratulations to all.
Deflatagate – I hate when I get caught deflating footballs. What’s worse is that now Tom Brady is sad, and we all know that sadness leads to brooding, and brooding leads to anger, and anger leads to bad decisions. I also hate it when people add “gate” to anything and everything.
Today’s Events
12 NBA games on the slate – The NBA is back for real this time with a full slate , and we’re pumped! There’s a $300K guaranteed Super Slam on FanDuel and a $140K guaranteed Crossover on DK. On top of that, we’ve got TWO (count em, two!) qualifiers on DraftKings for their Fantasy World Basketball Championship. And finally, the final qualifier to the FanDuel Playboy Mansion NBA Championship will be taking place Wednesday. There’s lots of goodness to be had and lots of money to be won playing NBA DFS. It’s a wonderful time to be alive.
The NHL continues tonight with six games, so we’re in a sweet spot for another good night of hockey DFS!
MORE BASKETBALL! – College Basketball that is, as we’ve got 12 games on the slate today with some very intriguing college matchups that will be more than exciting to watch.
