Welcome to the RotoGrinders cup o’morning joe. Start your day off right here, as we sort through yesterday’s happenings and take a peek at the upcoming DFS day.

In Case You Missed It

PGA Incentives – As you may be aware, DraftKings will be crowning another DFS millionaire in just under two weeks. The PGA Millionaire Maker will be hosted on DraftKings during the Masters and first place will walk away with one million dollars. Based on the growth of PGA prize pools and the rising demand for PGA content, RotoGrinders is proud to announce PGA incentives. You can even test drive them for free right now. Just click on that button up there that says Daily Research, then click DraftKings and PGA. You will find Notorious’ projections, Gibbathy’s expert picks, and Notorious expert picks. The picks are free this week, but you will need to subscribe in order to view next week or the Masters the following week. If you have any questions, feel free to ask Cameron in his forum thread.

Race to the Bottom – With just under 15 games left in the season, four teams are in a tight race for last place. The Lakers, Sixers, Timberwolves and Knicks are pulling out all the stops in the race for last. On Monday, Minnesota went into its game with just seven healthy bodies. The 76ers traded away their starting PG for picks. The Knicks shut down Carmelo Anthony and have at times benched Shved if he was playing too well. The Lakers couldn’t simply stand by and watch all this happen without reacting. Roughly twenty minutes before tipoff last night, the Lakers beat writer announced Carlos Boozer may not play. The Lakers “want to get a look at some younger players”, he said. If you had Boozer last night, I apologize. I can’t help but look on the bright side though. I have been waiting for a moment like this to use Kelly Clarkson. I can’t believe it’s finally happening.

MLB is Almost here – If I’m being honest, this item exists solely so that I can mention MLB starts in less than two weeks. You won’t be able to select “The Sultan of Swat” or “The Great Bambino” this year though. You may not even know who that is. Neither did the kid in The Sandlot. Speaking of The Sandlot, the Yankess reenacted that famous scene and it’s pretty funny. Stay tuned for more details on the RotoGrinders offerings for MLB this year. All of the best recurring content from last season will return and there are some exciting new features coming.

Big Winners – Congratulations to Grinder pmsimkins for punching his ticket to the WFBC in Miami in the $535 qualifier on FanDuel last night. Grinder devind also had an impressive night taking first place x2 in the Slam. Ganondorf also continued his incredible NBA run finishing fifth x3. Theclone also did well taking down first in the Monster. Over on DraftKings, Grinder jmfoshosucka took down the 3-Ball while ezellmt tied with mcluvin for second. Calebheard took down the Sharpshooter, and mikecosts won the Crossover. For the rest of Tuesday’s links click here.

On The Menu

Million Dollar Slam – Tonight’s marquee tournament is the FanDuel Million Dollar Slam. The contest is very affordable at only $25 and boasts a $100,000 first place prize. When this same contest ran last month, it filled about two hours prior to lock. As of this writing, it is already half full for tonight. If you are planning to play, you may want to reserve some entries now.

NBA Content – With a six-figure payday on the line, you know we have you covered with all the advice you can handle today. Notorious already has his First Look posted. Later today, look for the NBA Grind Down, Starting Five, Advanced Matchups, Six Pack, and GPP Plays. We also have three hours of NBA Analysis starting at 3:30 ET on GrindersLive.

With all the content I just mentioned, you may be tempted to ignore #NarrativeStreet tonight. Trust me on this, you never want to ignore the narratives. These guys have that little extra motivation that could help you win a GPP. Marco Bellinelli, Darrell Aurthur, James Anderson and Kyle Lowry all get the #BirthdayGame bump. On the #RevengeGame front, James Johnson faces the team who drafted him, but that’s not where the focus is tonight. Instead, the huge narrative tonight is the epic battle between the Lakers and Timberwolves which I have dubbed #WeNeedToLoseThisGame. Like I said before, both of these teams are employing advanced tanking strategies. This game is pretty much the super bowl of tanking. Fire up as many terrible players as you can find in this game. Those are the guys who will get the minutes.

NHL Tonight – With just three games on the menu and comparatively smaller prize pools, NHL will likely take a back seat for most Grinders. That, of course, offers the opportunity for you to zig when everyone else zags. If you have interest in this NHL slate, jmbwngfan has you covered with NHL Daily Plays which will be posted shortly.

PGA Tomorrow – As I mentioned before, there is one million dollars on the line in less than two weeks in PGA. This week would be a good time to take some practice swings. You can use the free incentives mentioned above to build a team. Gibb Pollard and Bryon Devonshire also filmed a PGA After Dark podcast last night which is available here. Why not throw a few dollars into a Milly Maker satty and win your way in? What’s the worst that could happen?

The Bottom Line – Today closes with a piece of advice for my low dollar Grinders on a budget. Do you wish you could play the Million Dollar Slam tonight but can’t afford $25? Do you have $25 but wish you had more than one entry? If yes, you need to consider chasing tickets in the future. I personally managed to accumulate 19 tickets to the Slam from playing a couple dollars in satellites every night. While it’s too late now to get Slam tickets, you still have time to win some Milly Maker tickets or even start accumulating tickets for MLB. Don’t wait until the last minute to start chasing tickets. The sooner you start, the easier they are. Good luck out there tonight!
