Welcome to the RotoGrinders cup o’morning joe. Start your day off right here, as we sort through yesterday’s happenings and take a peek at the upcoming DFS day.

In Case You Missed It

CheeseIsGood at Qualifiers – Congratulations to RotoGrinders expert and winner of last year’s FanDuel WFBC, CheeseIsGood. He won $1M last year but as they say, money never sleeps. He is back on the qualifier circuit this season and nearly booked a ticket to this season’s WFBC. CheeseIsGood and biggameaims tied for first in the $50 WFBC qualifier last night. They will play a H2H tonight to decide who officially wins the seat.

GPP Roundup – In case you are wondering, CIG and biggie didn’t just enter the WFBC qualifier; they also tied for first in the Grand Slam as well. Do they do everything together? Besides those two, a few other people won some cash last night as well. DraftCheat (chripe01 on FD) took down the Monster, certifiedgrinda took down the Squeeze (now he is officially a certified grinder), sandstorm won the King of the Hill qualifier for a chance to take on vandyrules in a $10K H2H tonight, plord64 won the DK Slugfest and Perfect Game with a Dodgers stack, and Sandstorm took down the FWBC qualifier. For the rest of yesterday’s links, check the forums.

Dong Report – Dodger Stadium was built in 1962. Giancarlo Stanton had not been born at that point, so I’m sure the developers figured the stadium was big enough. Stanton had other ideas though, as he launched a shot that left the park at a velocity of 114 MPH and projected distance of 475 feet. You can watch the video here. The ball not only left the field, it also left the stadium. That’s a long dong fellas. There were 31 other dongs hit besides Stanton’s moonshot. Edwin Encarnacion, Mark Trumbo, and Mike Zunino all hit double dongs. The shortest dong of the night, aka the Anti-Stanton, was Alex Gordon with a 354 foot shot. On the other end of the spectrum, San Diego reliever Frank Garces allowed the most dongs with three.

NBA Action – Even though it was too little too late, DFS players rejoiced yesterday as the New Orleans Pelicans fired Monty Williams. The New Orleans coach captained a team that often saw its best offensive player disappear for long stretches in favor of Tyreke Evans and Eric Gordon. Here’s to hoping the next coach can get even more out of Anthony Davis or at least more fantasy points – that’s what we care about here. In NBA news that actually matters, the Cavaliers defeated the Bulls and the Rockets defeated the Clippers. The Clippers and Cavaliers each lead their respective series 3-2 and will look to close out their opponents on Thursday.

On The Menu

Wells Fargo Championship – Today you get your weekly reminder that RotoGrinders offers some excellent PGA content and there is money to be made. The Wells Fargo Championship locks tomorrow. If you haven’t started your PGA research yet, just set aside an hour today to watch GrindersLive After Dark. Gibbathy, Devo, and Stlcards broke down the tournament last night, and you can watch it anytime you want on demand. Incentives member can also access Notorious’ and Gibbathy’s expert picks as well as Notorious’ projections. Last but not least, you can fine tune your strategy and player selection in our Weekly PGA thread.

NBA Tonight – The playoffs continue tonight with game five of WSH/ATL and MEM/GS. As always, Notorious will have his thoughts on both games in the NBA Grind Down. There are plenty of GPPs across the industry. You might as well toss in a team or two that will tie with at least 40 other people.

MLB Today – We have 15 games on the schedule tonight, split between an early slate (three games) and a late slate (twelve games). You will want to keep your finger on the refresh button as content will content to filter in all day long. Before you let the experts sway your opinion based on numbers, let’s take a quick look at today’s #NarrativeStreet plays. Make sure to check the lineup but if John Ryan Murphy is in fire him up for a #BirthdayGame. Asdrubal Cabrera is on #MileStoneWatch as he needs just one hit to get to 1,000 for his career. Also Adrian Beltre needs one hit to move to 76 on the all-time hit list and one home run to get to 400. He will likely hit both of those #Milestones in his first at-bat tonight. Last but not least, the Reds infield gets tonight’s anointing as the #BVPPlayOfTheDay. Brandon Phillips is 5-of-9 off Stults and Zack Cozart is 5-of-10. Fire them up with confidence. BVP wouldn’t lie to you, right?

Bottom Line – The DFS industry continues to grow at an incredible rate. With growth, the industry is bound to experience growing pains. One common complaint is the multi-entry debate as well as the stacking debate. Shanksalot started an interesting discussion on the subject. Feel free to chime in with your opinion. If you could only get rid of one, which would it be? Also, this is a great time to remind you that if you want a level playing field where each player gets one entry, why not sign up for the MLB Grind and prove your skill?
