Happy hump day and greetings from the Rise & Grind, where all things fantasy sports come to life. If you were under a rock last night, don’t fret we got you covered with all the information needed for last nights DFS rumblings. That includes Game 5 of the MLB DFS showdown of the year where Team Chalk collides with Team Crazy for the fifth time, and you wouldn’t believe what happened. Let’s get to it.

The DFS Showdown – Team Chalk vs Team Crazy

Since the very first game in this best-of-seven series, Rise & Grind has and will continue bringing you complete coverage of this historic battle between Team Chalk (Derek Carty & Dean78904) vs (Stevietpfl & TheSeigeDfs).

Round five of seven went down last night, and it wasn’t even close. Team Chalk was left in the dust from what seemed to be almost a perfect outfield put out by Team Crazy.

This outfield lead by Ezequiel Carrera from the Toronto Blue Jays who scored three runs off of two hits and a home run in the 5-1 win over Kevin Gausman and the Baltimore Orioles, finishing with a staggering 25 DK points from just a 2,500 price tag.

Carrera as well as Carlos Gomez & Roman Quinn were the catalyst of Team Crazy’s clutch victory over the confident Team Cash who, with a 3-1 lead in this series let game five slip through their fingers as two of their high price infielders ended up bageling in what looked like two of the best match-ups on the board.

Tilted? You betcha. But that just leaves us with another head-to-head battle against these two . As this MLB season winds down day-by-day we see how much this game means to us as not just fans but as individuals. I know you guys are just as hyped as I am that this series is going to a game six to determine who’s approach reigns supreme.

Team Crazy & Team Chalk both had something in common in their lines last night. His name was Justin Verlander, who has been lights out lately. Last night wasn’t much different when he posted up a monstrous 42.25 DK/71 FD points off of count em, twelve elite strikeouts against the Cleveland Indians who were recently crowned the American League Central Champions just the night before.

Here’s a look at what the two squads put forth last night:

Final Score: Team Crazy – 145.70 Team Chalk – 114.60

Series is now 3-2 in favor of Team Chalk who look to finish off Team Crazy once & for all with a win tomorrow night.

Here’s a bit of reaction from the two clubs once Team Crazy declared victory:

We’ll be back at it for Game 6 of The DFS Showdown, with every breath from first pitch to the putting of the books right here at the Rise & Grind.
