Ryder Cup Weather Report and Forecast

PGA golfer Rahm

After a brief hiatus, we’re back with the Ryder Cup at Bethpage this weekend, and the weather could get a bit bumpy by the final day.

As usual in my PGA weather forecasts, we’re focusing more on wind than rain. While rain can halt play if it’s heavy enough, it also helps soften and slow the course, which helps as much as it hurts.

With wind, there’s no helpful side; it’s all negative impact. And the impact can lead to dramatic differences in scoring. My goal is always to try to highlight the time frame with the lightest winds and the time frame with the strongest winds to see if there’s a cumulative advantage for one wave over another.

You can then use this to your advantage when making your picks on the best DFS sites.

Ryder Cup Weather Forecast

Friday, September 26th

Winds around 5mph sustained, gusts could be more like 10mph, especially early. Still, it’s essentially “dry with light winds.”

Saturday, September 27th

Another great day, and another day with very little variability in the wind. It should hold around 5mph all day long.

Sunday, September 28th

Models are a bit split at the outcome on Sunday, but at the very least we can say that there’s a chance for rain as well as some slightly higher wind potential. This day isn’t yet set in stone, so we’ll need to circle back on it.

Ryder Cup Weather Thoughts

Two great weather days and one questionable weather day, but I don’t see any way to take advantage of the weather for DFS or betting in this format and with this weather pattern. I’d stick to the RotoGrinders pros for advice and not let the weather be your guide.
