Top DFS Picks

Lando Norris: This isn’t a complete stunner, but Norris was flying in the lap time department in Bahrain, recording the 5th-fastest time behind the two Red Bulls, plus Leclerc and veteran Alonso. He’s now priced up there with the Mercedes cars, but both he and Piastri look fast enough to compete in the second tier right now. Will want to watch projected ownership and qualifying position on this one, but he’s for sure in the mix for a high finish at a discount price compared to RB and Ferrari.

Nico Hulkenberg: Turned in a faster lap than Magnussen but managed to finish several spots behind overall. This could be a situation where both Haas drivers are cheap and in play, but we go with the guy with the worse looking game log and similar performance probability. Always tough to make definitive statements pre-qualifying, but this is absolutely a situation to watch as we search for ways to afford the wildly dominant Red Bull cars.

Yuki Tsunoda: The F1 season got off to a dreadfully predictable start, with absolutely zero surprises in team performances. Red Bull. Ferrari. Mercedes. McLaren. Aston Martin. It’s not until you reached the unclassified section of the standings that you felt any feeling of uncertainty at all. Without a doubt, winners and losers in DFS will be determined by how well they parse the back half of the field this season, and despite finishing just behind Ricciardo last week, we can find some possible value in Tsunoda. He’s $1,000 less than Ricciardo, and it feels like they’ll be neck-and-neck on speed. That’s worth valuable points in the grand scheme if he can finish ahead, at +5 points in the scoring system.
