SharpSide Launches Beta Sports Betting App with $2,000 in Contests
SharpSide.com is proud to announce the beta launch of its sports betting app. SharpSide, the home of the sports betting community, is celebrating the launch of the app with special opening week football contests. The contests start on Thursday, September 27, and you can win some great prizes based on the picks you make.
The app is available now on iOS, and you can find it by searching “SharpSide” in the iOS App Store. Once you download the app, you can start making picks for available sports, view betting advice, track your results, and see how you stack up against other bettors in the community. An Android version of the app is currently being developed and will be released soon.
Contests Available Now!
The first contest available to users focuses on Thursday Night Football during Week 4 of the NFL and $300 in FanDuel credit is up for grabs to the top three finishers picking all eligible bets for that contest. First place will earn $150 FanDuel credit, second will score $100 FanDuel credit, and third will take home $100 in FanDuel credit.

There are a wide variety of bets to choose from, including the game’s spread, point total, and both game and player props. Users can make as many or as few of the eligible bets as they wish, and contestants will be ranked in terms of most units won, with every bet placed being one unit wagered.
Additional contests will run throughout the weekend, with a College Football Saturday contest and an NFL Sunday contest, giving away $500 and $1,000 in FanDuel credit, respectively. The first week of opening contests will close on Monday, October 1, with another $300 in FanDuel credit up for grabs in SharpSide’s NFL Monday Night Football contest.
In the case of a tie, tiebreakers will be as follows.
1. Most units won from point spread bets
2. Most units won from point total bets
3. Most units won from player props
4. If still tied, a random drawing will determine the winner(s)

In addition to regular contests awarding prizes, the app will be used to source picks for Team SharpSide’s entry in the Las Vegas SuperContest. Make your top NFL picks on the app each week and Team SharpSide will submit the five most popular selections as its five weekly picks for the SuperContest.
