It’s a low total game and the Texans are big favorites, but that doesn’t make them big favorites to score insane fantasy point totals. The Jets have a small enough edge to make the Texans production just good, and not great.
The Texans have faced a relatively easy schedule and haven’t produced massive success on the ground. In addition, the Jets have been fairly stingy against the rush with a 23rd ranked DVOA squad. I don’t think the matchup is the reason you’d side with Lamar Miller if you wanted to play him. His status as a TD favorite would be a better reason if you were sure the game script goes that direction. Miller has a relatively low and inconsistent workload with 48%>35%>63%>46%>51% market share totals over the last 5 games. He normally isn’t in line to see more than 1 to 2 targets either. The only reason I’m not crossing him off my list on the two-game slate is because the alternatives aren’t a hell of a lot better when I need to fill in my last piece and I’m left in that salary range. He’s not a fun play.
