Steelers vs. Browns – NFL Player Props

Najee Harris OVER 17.5 Rushing Attempts (-130, Bet365)

Najee Harris has eclipsed this market number in each of Pittsburgh’s 4 games with Russell Wilson as the team’s starting quarterback this season. Tonight, Harris is likely to see another heavy workload, facing a Cleveland defense that has struggled mightily against the run since losing their top tackler, LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, to injured reserve. There is a track record of Harris being given significant workloads in bad weather games, which is an added bonus here. There is some concern that the short week could lead to a reduced workload for Harris, but the Steelers also have an extra 3 days of rest following this game, so that argument can go both ways. This is still good value for one of the true workhorse running backs in the NFL.

Jaylen Warren OVER 8.5 Rushing Attempts (+108, FanDuel)

In 4 games since Russell Wilson took over as Pittsburgh’s starting quarterback, Jaylen Warren has cleared this market number 4 times. During that stretch, the Steelers have run the football at the 4th-highest rate in the entire NFL, including the 4th-highest rate in neutral (competitive) game scripts. The weather forecast is ugly this evening in Cleveland, which should lead to a heavy dose of the run for Mike Tomlin’s team. At plus money, this could turn out to be a worthwhile risk.

Nick Chubb UNDER 0.5 Receptions (+165, BetMGM)

Nick Chubb has been almost completely a non-factor in Cleveland’s passing game since returning from injured reserve. In 4 games since returning to the field, he has 2 games without a reception and has now had 1 target or fewer in consecutive contests. This past weekend Jerome Ford was the team’s primary running back in passing situations, ending the day with 4 receptions. Pittsburgh enters play ranked 7th in DVOA against running backs as pass catchers this season, so there isn’t likely to be many targets to go around for Chubb and Ford regardless. This is good value on Chubb to end up with a goose egg.
