I remember sitting in the classroom, working on a calculus assignment as I waited for the bell to ring to start the school day. Suddenly, teachers started to talk. Something was happening. What could possibly cause so much of a stir at 8:00 in the morning on a random weekday? TV’s started to be turned on to the local news channels throughout the school. An airplane had crashed into the World Trade Center in New York. What? This surely couldn’t be happening.
